Continuing my personal development, I am realizing that I am not immune to bad times.
But, at the same time, several good things are also happening to me — and I should not over-focus only on the challenging events.
This subtle shift in “Perception” — how I view the events that happen in my life and how I choose to then respond to them — is having a significant impact on me.
While previously I used to be like a rapidly oscillating buoy in a choppy ocean — these days I feel I’m adopting a much more reasoned stance to events in my life.
This has only been possible due to a continuous and relentless search for ideas and techniques that have worked for others. And there is no better way to come across such ideas than through reading high-impact books.
One such really powerful book I’ve started reading recently is “Peaks & Valleys” by Spencer Johnson.
I’ve barely been through the first few chapters and already collected the following gems:
👉 I have peaks and valleys at work and in my life.
👉 These are the highs and lows, the good and bad moments I feel.
👉 Peaks & Valleys are scattered about and connected with each other.
